My name is Marga Kirschner. It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction as the Mental Health & Wellness Facilitator at East Lake Elementary! I am honored to join a school community where we truly believe that we are better together!

Here is a little bit about myself. On a personal note, I enjoy singing, traveling and spending time with my family. Professionally, I earned a Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College. I have served as a classroom teacher, a math coach and now am serving as the Mental Health Facilitator, all in the Henry County School System. This year marks my 23rd year in education.

I am committed to supporting the vision of East Lake Elementary, which is to ensure the educational success for each student, every day, by providing a nurturing learning environment where students learn rigorous academics and relevant skills necessary for success in a changing society. I am here to ensure the well-being of the whole child.

My roles & responsibilities in this position include providing coaching, training support & interventions for the school community in the areas of mental health & wellness, social emotional learning, trauma, and school climate and culture.
